Vintage dress sew a long

The Handmaiden's Cottage has started doing occasional vintage dress pattern sew a longs.  Naturally I MUST join.  This time I actually got one whipped up during the sew a long unlike the last one.  She may never wear it again but fingers crossed one of her sisters will....

JillyAtlanta Challenge

JillyAtlanta had a challenge of if you made their patterns in a week, you'd get the purchase refunded.  So I quickly got to work making two of her patterns....went for a bit of a boho look

My mom made Baby's dress and doesn't remember what pattern. I made the bonnet and dont' remember what pattern either!

 Not impressed with sister pushing the buggy. Sister's dress is from Bugaboutique.

Rather proud of the embroidery on the brim of her bonnet.  Other fun tidbit about baby's outfit is she's wearing shoes that were my cousin's, purchased in Germany when my uncle was stationed there 30 years ago.  My cousin passed them on to me knowing I'd greatly appreciate them. :)

Sewing for baby

Tried a new pattern designer: JillyAtlanta.  How darling is this set?!
My poor baby has come down with mystery spots....some sort of allergic reaction to an allergic reaction they assume.  They don't cause her any pain, but oh my poor baby!

Pattern is Flora Bundle from JillyAtlanta.  I used some lovely vintage fabric for the bodice.

Made a knock off with fabric from my stash of this Matilda Jane Clothing dress I love.

Alterations

A family at church asked me to add sleeves to their daughters dresses for their son's wedding.  It was a new experience for me and I love how they turned out.
